    WHAT HAPPENED?

    The ex-Manchester United star contributed with a goal and an assist as Marseille destroyed Brest 4-1 in a crucial Ligue 1 fixture on Sunday. With the strike, Greenwood matched Marseille legend Didier Drogba's club record of scoring 19 league goals in his debut season in the French league.

    After the historic night at Stade Velodrome, Greenwood took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the performance, as he wrote: "Great team performance from start to finish, important win and always a special feeling to score at the Velodrome."

    Greenwood received a backhanded compliment from Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi about his work rate in the game as the Italian coach told : "The players are happy… have you ever seen Mason Greenwood work like today? It was the first time. You have to give the players credit. Sometimes you lose points because of bad attitudes, but not because they're not good guys."
