ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Mundo Deportivo [via Football Espana] claims that the Paris Saint-Germain wing-back is eager to accompany Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabeu in the 2025 summer window. The Moroccan's contract expires in 2026, and as PSG will be reluctant to lose him for free the next season, he might be able to convince the club to approve his move to the Spanish capital.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Hakimi is one of Mbappe's closest friends on and off the field. If Mbappe's deal with Real Madrid reaches a tension point at any moment, the club could potentially use the signing of Hakimi as leverage to smooth things out for the Frenchman and his entourage.

DID YOU KNOW?
Hakimi is a product of Real Madrid's academy, La Fabrica. He came up through the ranks at the club before making two loan moves and a permanent move away as he couldn't find footing in the first team ahead of experienced right-back Dani Carvajal.

WHAT NEXT FOR HAKIMI?
Hakimi has been a mainstay in the squad for Luis Enrique so far this season and the Spaniard will be hoping to keep the Moroccan at the club past this season at the least as he will look to rebuild the squad to give it a new look after the imminent departure of Mbappe.
